I got to know Gareth in recent years as a fellow tennis-playing member at Wickwoods Country Club - whether playing with him or against him, there was always plenty of banter and humour on court. Gareth was great company, full of warmth and enthusiasm and my sincere condolences go out to his family for their tragic loss.
