Hi Shirley, Rhian, Gemma and Robbie, like many others, I am deeply sadenned by the loss of your dad, an extraordinary human being. The tragic news took time to sink in and so did my message of deepest condolences. Like many others I have shared the search efforts and the FB feeds and prayed for positive news. I have also seen the many wonderful stories people have shared about Gareth so far and can only concur. All these different stories and memories is exactly how I remember him as well. Your family welcomed me into your lives while I was still a teenager and have contributed to me growing into an adult and shaping me and my future. I am forever greatful for that and will always remember Gareth as somebody who lived life to the fullest. A fun, loving, gentle and intelligent guy, father, husband and a friend. Somebody who gave me my first ever bacon sandwich :-), made me appreciate good jazz like Some Kind of Blue or other of his favourites at the time like George Michael, Ladies and Gentlemen, or Spandau Ballet - really ;-) don't get me started, but there were times when Gold was playing non stop and I still have the habbit of putting it on at the parties now ;-) . As mentioned many times in messages from others, he loved his local, everywhere you lived, which as a proper Czech I highly appreciated and we could discuss what real beer is - cos we know it's Czech lager, really ;-) He was passionate about football and all sorts of discussions be it casual or deeper topics and years later while working in HR I had the pleasure of meeting him in the professional capacity as well, which was also a great suprise. Most importantly, he never forgot what was important and put you, his family, first. He is a legend. My heart goes out to you all, Love Pima xoxox
