I worked with Gareth at Henley Business School when it was still common practice to go for coffee in the "Blue Room"-yes, that long ago....!:) . I think Gareth and I did not join as many of these coffee breaks as others but when Gareth was there he brought an energy, intelligence and playfulness to the conversation that would make us all linger to hear more..... After Henley we did not meet often, so it was always delightful to unexpectedly bump into him at Wimbledon- which surprisingly we managed on quite a few occasions- always going in opposite directions, always in a hurry and always prepared to stop, share a greeting, a smile, warmth and then back to the tennis! We were briefly in touch during lockdown 1 and Gareth said how much he missed being present with others when he was working. Not as much as we will miss being present with you Gareth....I imagine you now entertaining and warming others in another place.....
