I just want to send my condolences to Gareth's family at this terrible news. I cannot imagine what you must be going through, but hopefully you will find some comfort in knowing how much Gareth was loved and inspired by people whose lives he had touched outside the family. I was lucky enough to be taught by Gareth at UEA, and was very privileged to have him as my tutor. His lectures were always at the very least entertaining, and often inspirational as well. I've not seen Gareth for a good while, as I now live in Ireland, but I think of him, and the life lessons he gave me a lot. I was very lucky to know him and clearly many others think the same. Thinking of you all and remembering Gareth always - a truly inspirational man.
