Gareth was the epitome of a perfect man, Father and Leader. 

Always a proud Welshman and I recall many a message or call where he scouted for tickets every time his Welsh Rugby Team played at home in Cardiff. I would brace myself for the contact from Robbie that would lead me to finding tickets for them both to watch their beloved rugby team. Always a pleasure seeing them both, usually on Caroline Street and slightly lubricated with a few pints of local ‘Brains’.

I always looked forward to meeting with Gareth as any conversation would contain Family, Rugby and always Politics. We would talk about leadership behaviours, and boy was Gareth the man to listen to.  Always balanced and always an expert with anything to do with how to lead and influence, a true specialist of his time. 

You don’t come across many people in this world like Gareth. He would positively impact anyone he met and leave a lasting impression on anyone who had the opportunity to meet with him.

Gareth was a true legend and Gentleman and will always be remembered as one. 

Gone but never be forgotten.
